Description

Luminite is a form of crystal renouned for it's natural luminescent properties. The crystalline structure of each stone is aligned much like a magnet, the valence electrons of the crystal all aligned on an internal, central point. When jostled or struck, the movements of these electrons causes a gentle surge of electricity to course through the matrix of the crystal, causing a gentle blue light to form. Supposedly, they're rather stable, and only a few accidents involving the crystals are known - Unfortunately, there are no first-hand reports of how the accidents occoured, as there have never actually been any survivors. Mostly, they tend to be used in gemworking and jewlery crafting.
